Monte Solberg came back before most of the rest of them didn't he? And he never joined the PC-DRC coalition either as far as I know... _________________ Warren Kinsella is the Jar Jar Binks of Canadian Politics

"Back in 1215, if you read Magna Carta Libertatum (my italics; I don’t think they had ’em back then), human rights meant the King was restrained by his subjects. Eight hundred years later, “human rights” CHRC-style means that the subjects get restrained by the Crown, in the form of Queen Jennifer. I liked it better the old way." -Mark Steyn |

Monte Solberg is a Manning flunky, and a most definite DoRC. Evidence will be provided. _________________ "If Martin doesn't surprise us by becoming a principled leader, then at least we can be comforted that he is preparing his lips for a whole lot of American butt kissing."

He is my MP so I would be intersted in hearing the evidence. |

| Quote: | Unlike the socially conservative Mr. Day or the more ideological Stephen Harper, Mr. Solberg is a pragmatic conservative. Scratch the surface and you'll find a great deal of admiration for the two right-of-centre Liberal ministers he has been pitted against in recent years, Paul Martin and John Manley.
...
Mr. Solberg has come to respect Joe Clark, but he would need to make a call for his head on a platter a central part of his campaign. To have any chance of winning, he would have to maintain a careful balance between assailing Mr. Day and Mr. Harper as small-tent politicians and placing demands on the Tories to prove themselves as genuine partners for peace. |
Classic Solberg story found here. _________________ "If Martin doesn't surprise us by becoming a principled leader, then at least we can be comforted that he is preparing his lips for a whole lot of American butt kissing."

| Actually, Monte is one of our better MPs. He just didn't like Stock's leadership. Come to think of it, neither did I. |

Actually, Solberg was one of the scumbag traitors who damaged the credibility of a party that was on the rise and was heading in the direction of potentially being a credible alternative to the Liberals until the DoRC scumbags carried out their pre-meditated attack on the party and it's democratically elected leader.
If Solberg is one of the "better MPs" of the Alliance then maybe Jack Layton actually has potential to become the leader of the official opposition. |

Monte,
Many in Newell County felt that until the Manning Sore Loser fiasco, Monte did an admirable job. Used to read the news on the local radio station. Very well liked and admired in the community. Nice family. I voted for him. Sure won't again. I'll be spoiling my ballot 2 elections in a row unless the Bloc Alberta comes along.... |

Was he a part of the DRC or not though?
From what I remember he left cacus but then came back before the rest of the DRC did... and possibly before the DRC was formed.
Can anyone clear this up for me? |
