While the displayed URL is indeed "www.belinda.ca/archives/000816.html", it intially did resolve to Steven Taylor's blog correctly. (Now it doesn't. )
This was done so that some competing and anti-FD sites do not get traffic. Speak with Connie to get this minor problem resolved. _________________ "There are some opinions so stupid, only liberals could hold them"

Competing sites? St3ph3n T@yl0r?! No, this smacks of some sort of internecine in-fighting.
The infighting ends. Today.
It undermines credibility. That's bad.
It loses elections. That's very bad.
AND IT CHANGED MY POST! THAT'S COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!
Right then -- when do we get this fixed, or do I give Free Dominion the once over at Angry and then leave, never to return?
P.S. For crying out loud -- I had to render the name of Taylor in leetspeak to get past this nonsense. Grrrr! |

Seems like much ado about nothing unless there is something in the documents that someone doesn't want known. They were inadvertantly left behind and they are being returned in a photo op. Who cares? |

If you don't know what this is all about, Angry, (and I suspect you already do), then talk to Taylor.

If you were in the process of moving from one office to another or one home to another and you had marked your containers and they were waiting to be picked up by a service. If the persons who moved into your office or home took posession of those boxes then painstakingly went through them to see if they could blackmail you with anything they found in them. Would you then call it an illegal act or would you still be saying much ado about nothing. _________________ FREE DOMINION FORUM RULES

I'd tell the police someone was trying to blackmail me and I'd go after the people who were supposed to move the boxes. Something tells me this case isn't exactly like that or I would expect the wronged people to do the same. |

As I suspected, you have talked to Taylor about this. _________________ "...single men must have access to donor eggs and “gestational carriers.” - David Johnston, Governor General Appointee

I don't know and I don't care. All I know is that he had a relevant story to the thread that I was not able to share to your readership. If you are worried about "promoting" his site, then let me suggest you might be overrating the value of a link from the Free Dominion forums. They generate some nice traffic, but really...
Take it outside. Right now, for search engine rank value, we should all be linking back and forth with high-quality relevant stories. It serves the interests of all involved.
In the mean time, you're taking my commentary, altering it, and presenting something I didn't write as mine. That's unacceptable on any forum. If you have to, you put a filter that rejects the message in its entirety and provides some sort of explanation of the Terms of Service being violated.
I assume that mentioning the name of Taylor is prohibited by the Terms of Service? And that the Terms of Service allow the moderators of the blog to alter content of postings capriciously?
Well? Any other secret filters and word-mashers lurking in the software altering peoples' thoughts? This is 1984 crap, not worthy of a site with "Free" in its name.
You never, ever, play with a person's words this way.

If you come into possession of an item even if you purchased it that is found to be not yours but taken from someone without their permission then you are in possession of stolen goods and can be charged with it.
Even the police would have no legal ability to look through those boxes if they came into possession of them without first obtaining a search warrant.
The Liberals as usual think that they are above the law and the can do what ever the heck they want with no cost and with a cheering crowd. How else do you explain the fact that they had no qualms about taking boxes that did not belong to them that they had illegally kept for 1 1/2 years and drag them out without blinking an eye in front of a planned press conference. That takes balls or stupidity. _________________ FREE DOMINION FORUM RULES

There's been a lot of game playing the last 2 days by people who are certainly no friends of Free Dominion, or conservatism in general.
Connie and ES have some spring cleaning to do, I think. |
