We need to be writing letters to the editor calling them on their dishonesty. A quick google search shows that the support for this motion is incredibly widespread on mainstream Canadian websites, yet the media is insisting on referencing only on thread on an American website.
We can't stand for this kind of sloppy reporting! _________________ "...single men must have access to donor eggs and “gestational carriers.” - David Johnston, Governor General Appointee

Connie, are you familiar with "Fighting for Canada" by Diane Francis, and, "Executive Decisions" by Tom Clancy.
Even though the former is non-fiction, and the latter is fiction, both provide very good details into the inner workings of the MSM.
Nobody wants to be exiled to the boonies, and grudges are everlasting.
So, we would find, for instance, Grande Prairie which has at least one newspaper, at least one radio station, and at least one television station - any mention of Canadian support for Keith Martin's private members motion would result in the reporter being black listed.
They do not want to be seen as being wrong, so stonewalling
is the only option they have. For they place a lot of stock in the saying, "If a tree falls in the forest, and no one hears it, does it make a sound?" Their answer is: no. So, a story that isn't told is silent, to put it another way.
Also when shakedown artists have plenty of latitude on either side of the Canada/US border - some would prefer to be on the sidelines.

Eww, after looking at the Order of Precedence I just noticed the House is going to vote on M-411 on February 6 which is also a Liberal motion
| Quote: | | M-411 — January 31, 2008 — Deferred recorded division on the motion of Ms. Sgro (York West), seconded by Mrs. Jennings (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce—Lachine), — That, in the opinion of the House, the government should reaffirm that: (a) there is no death penalty in Canada; (b) it is the policy of the government to seek clemency, on humanitarian grounds, for Canadians sentenced to death in foreign countries; and (c) Canada will continue its leadership role in promoting the abolition of the death penalty internationally. |
I hope this motion gets defeated, it gives me motion sickness. |

Sgro and Jennings are on the hard left wing of the party, they probably belong in the NDP. |
