I have thought about that very thing too many times. Why do they blindly obey? I suppose it is similar to the groupthink that allowed a couple of hundred nazi's in a concentration camp to rule, abuse and murder many thousands of jews who could have over run the camp or stormed the guards as they got off of the trains and taken their weapons. Fear of being the first one to act or being the only one to act keeps people "in line".

This is why a leader is both necessary, because the vast majority need someone to follow and dangerous to the establishment, whatever that may be at any time.

You are right, many think policemen are leaders, brave and aggressive. Instead we find many were the guys whose eyes lightened up too much when they took their fist gun in their hands, the ones that craved power and the ones that brown-nosed for higher position just like any other overly ambitious dweeb. There are some that have honor, and we will hear from them before the end, but will the dweebs shake themselves out of their power obsession, when they don't understand the state will have no need for them, and will do away with them at the very end too.
